Painting Pumpkins

So proud of his pumpkin

Really concentrating

Putting the cap back on

Painting her pumpkin
Coloring the book and himself

Yesterday I let Mark and Makenna paint their pumpkins. Makenna wanted the markers instead of paint which was fine with me. She colored her pumpkin a couple of times, but the main thing she wanted to do was put the cap back on the marker. I think that is what she enjoyed the most. Mark of course had a good time painting and wanted the blue first, because that is "his favorite color." I love how when he is really concentrating on something he sticks his tongue out. He was really proud of it when he was done.
Later on, I let him color with markers in a coloring book. When I looked at him I saw Marker on his face and hand. I thought it just rubbed off from the coloring book, but then I heard Matt telling him to stop, and when I looked again, he had the black marker and was coloring on his hand. He said that, "He wanted to look like Mommy and Daddy did the other day." Can you believe that!!!! It was hilarious!

5th Annual Halloween Party

The Before Picture
The After Picture (Pimp Daddy and Shaniqua)

Matt and Neil (Best Costume Winner)

Donny and Audrey came in 2nd place with their 80's Prom King and Queen

Lela and Matt came in 3rd as Sarah Palin and John McCain

Here are some pictures from our 5th Annual Johnson Hallween Costume Party. We had a blast and hope everyone else did too. The best part of the evening was seeing everyone's face when they saw Matthew and I. I got some pretty good shock pictures of people walking in the door. It was classic. Neil won Best Costume for the 2nd year in a row. He was Lucky Charms. I had a great time and even got into my character a couple of times. We already can't wait until next year!

Hot Tubbing it in October

We Finally got our hot tub fixed! Mark has been asking about it everyday and it is finally working again. So Mark has had a bad cold this week and even had a fever on Wednesday and couldn't go to soccer practice or school. Matthew told him he could go in the hot tub though, but I quickly put a stop to that. So Thursday he was feeling better so Matthew told him he could get in. Matt, Mark, and Makenna proceeded to play, jump, splash around and just have a great time. Makenna loved the bubbles the best. So Mark got out of the hot tub and his eyes were red. I just assumed that it was from the hot tub and didn't think much of it. I called my friend Jill to find out about Pink Eye just in case, but she assured me that pink eye has goupy stuff that comes out of your eye and clearly Mark didn't have that. So what do you know, he wakes up this morning, and a whole bunch of goup in his eye. I called the doctor and they thought it might be pink eye, but I wasn't allowed to bring him in. They prescribed him some eye drops and even after we put them in his eyes a couple times today, the red had almost completely gone away. I don't know if it was or wasn't but better safe than sorry!

Here is a video of Makenna jumping in to Matthew. If you listen closely the second time she jumps you can hear her count to three! She's getting so big!

Say Cheese!

Mark Cheesing it up!

Makenna coming to see her picture on the camera

Mark found the Bob the Builder costume I had gotten him a while ago and he wanted to put it on. He actually told me he wanted me to take his picture and I said okay, say cheese, so he did. Well, Makenna must have thought this was a good idea at the time because she kept walking up next to him saying, "cheese, cheese." Of course, this is in my house and not when I go get their professional pictures taken! But then Mark always comes up to me and says he wants to see his picture so I show him. Well, then Makenna started doing that too! She has just wanted to do everything like her big brother lately. I don't know if that's such a good thing!
