Soccer Star!

The past couple of weeks Mark has done an awesome job at soccer. I had to work last Saturday and Matt called me and said that Mark had an amazing game where he scored by dribbling around people and shot and scored. I was so sad that I missed it and Matt didn't get it on video. So I was really excited about this past weekend's game so I could see this new and improved soccer player we have, and it was really great. He really has done so much better. And this week he scored 2 goals. I did manage to get the first one on video, but not the 2nd one because Makenna was whining so much that I didn't want anyone else to have to hear her in the background. We are so proud of him and how well he is doing now. I hope he keeps it up from here! :)

Here is a packet that Mark made at school for me for Mother's Day. It was so sweet and he did such a good job! He also gave me a flower pot (with a flower in it) but he drew a picture that went around the frame. He said it was a picture of 2 gluten free pies for me. :) It was really sweet. For Mark's school I had to give the teacher's a list of 6 words that describe Mark. It was harder than I thought at first, and then I thought of so many that I had to cut it down. Here are the 6 that I used:

1. Sweet 2. Smart 3. Athletic 4. Cuddly 5. Outgoing 6. Friendly
I know, there is also a long list of others...but those were my top 6. Looking back, I really should have included Social Butterfly...but I thought maybe that sounded too girly, so I used outgoing instead. On another positive note...Mark had a test at Kindergarten Round-Up that every incoming Kindergarten student had to take. We got the results back this week and he got 100/100! We were so proud of him! The avg for the school district was 85. His teachers were thrilled as well. They said he was their 1st perfect score! He has done such a great job this year and we couldn't be happier.

Makenna had her Mother's Tea today at her Preschool. I was very excited that I got someone to cover my shift in the morning so that I could go with her. She was all excited to get all dressed up. I was greeted by Makenna and walked to our table. There was a cookie for each of us that she made. Pink sprinkles for her and blue for mine. (Of course I couldn't eat it so she decided to eat both. :) Then we went into the Circle Room and they sang us a bunch of songs. I was in a good spot at first to see her and then they shifted and her back was to me most of the time. It was so cute. Then we went back into the classroom and they served us ice cream, then gave us a flower that they planted, and a plate that they made. It was so sweet. It was such a nice day spent with my girl!

In the Program, they had 4 questions that they asked each child, here are Makenna's answers.

Q 1: How old is your Mom?

A: 29

Q 2: What is your favorite thing your Mom makes you?

A: Oreos

Q 3: What is something nice that your mom does for you?

A: Brings me home something from the store

Q 4: What does your mom do when she's alone?

A: Cooks us dinner

Isn't that hilarious?!?!?!? #1: I LOVE that she wrote that I'm 29! and #2: I have never made oreos in my life and we rarely even have them in the house. It was too funny!

Mark Field Trip

Putting the dirt in
Patting the dirt down after planting the snapdragon

So Proud

Mark and Nora (who he says he's going to marry) :)

Mark had a field trip to a farm last week. Unfortunately it was raining and had been raining for days, so they couldn't go outside and do everything that they were going to. They did get to plant a flower in a pot. He scooped the dirt, put the plant in, and they put plant food on the top. He was so excited to bring it home and put it outside to grow. Here are some pictures of his day.
