Apple Orchard

Learning about Bees
Bag of Apples he picked all by himself!

Measuring Up

Mark's class took a field trip to County Line Orchard to pick apples his 2nd week of school. I was lucky enough to be able to join him and we had a fun time. (My neighbor volunteered to take Makenna to school and pick her up for me so I could go with Mark) He enjoyed picked the apples and actually really listened when they told the class to twist the apples off of the tree instead of pulling them off. He was really concentrating when taking each apple off. He also really enjoyed seeing the bees and finding the "Queen Bee" when learning about bees and honey. They also got to see where the apples are sorted, how apple cider is made, and they also saw some animals. It was a good trip!

Love the Steeler photo w/the helmet! She's certainly growing. She looks like she's taller than just last month!
Mark is certainly having an enriching year in school!Sounds like they did a lot at County Line. Memories are made that way!
