Mark and Makenna had a GREAT time Trick or Treating tonight! Makenna kept going back and forth all day whether she was going to be Spider Girl or a Butterfly. Obviously she finally decided on Spider Girl. It was fun for them to go as Spider Man and Spider Girl. My friend Jill brought Adison and Caden over to trick or treat with them for a while. They outlasted our kids by a lot. It was SO cold out tonight, but they were troopers. Matt's cousin Courtney, her husband Terry and their new baby, AnnaRose came up from Indy so we had all the Aunts and Uncles over for dinner before the kids went out. It was such a fun night. They were exhausted and crashed hard.

Uncle Ryan and Alex
Mark and Makenna were so excited for my brother Ryan and his girlfriend Alex to come and visit last weekend. They kept counting down the days and I even heard them the morning they were coming say as soon as they woke up, "Today is the day Uncle Ryan and Alex come!" They had the best time with them. They played the game "Zingo" A LOT and Ryan and Alex were troopers about it. They also did puzzles together, played lots of games, and got in the hot tub everyday. Makenna even enjoyed putting Ryan "in jail" almost everyday. It was Alex's 27th Birthday on Monday so we got her a cake and sang to her. They were so sad to see them go.

Pumpkin Patch
Matthew and I took the kids to County Line Orchard this past weekend. They had a great time picking out pumpkins, riding the hayride, riding on the moo choo train, walking through the corn maze, and feeding animals at the kids farm. It was a Fun Day!

Makenna Pumpkin Patch
Makenna went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday for school. She had the best time. She enjoyed the hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick her pumpkin and told Matt and I that she was going to pick the smallest pumpkin out there. We weren't sure why and eventually talked her into picking a little bit bigger one. After the hayride the kids got to play on a wooden train, a school bus, and run through a maze. The maze was by far her favorite part. She just kept running through it over and over again. One time she talked me into it, and oh my goodness, was that a killer on the knees, quads, and back! It was built for little kids so I had to duck the entire time! It was quite the workout! But she had a great time and that's all that matters. At one point, she was driving the school bus and I was trying to take her picture when she looked at me and said, "Mom, can you just give me a break, just for a minute? I just need a break!" I was like, okay...I guess I'll give you a break. She has been saying the craziest things lately. Anytime I try to help her with something she tells me, "Mom, I have this under control. You don't need to help me. I can handle it. It's all under control." And she's always waving her hands at me like shooing me away and waving me off. She's just too much somedays!

Collecting Leaves
Mark had homework over the weekend to collect 5 leaves and bring them in to school on Monday. It was beautiful outside on Sunday so we decided to go on a walk around the retention pond behind our house to go searching for some leaves. We had a great time picking out all different color leaves and leaves of all shapes and sizes. Makenna even found a pink leaf which she was all excited about. We ended up in our friend Gary's backyard at the end of the walk and I realized that he has the most amazing landscape so I took advantage of it and got some great pictures. It was a fun day!

Cowboy/Cowgirl
Mark has had these jammies since Christmas last year and Gymboree just now came out with the girl version of them so I knew that Makenna just had to have them. She wasn't as excited as I thought she would be at first, but then just loved them. They were actually being good the other night and smiley before bedtime. They were probably just trying to put off going to bed! (Oh, and when Mark and I told Makenna that her shirt said, "Daddy's Cowgirl" she freaked out because she said it said, "Mommy's Cowgirl" so we just had to tell her it only said Cowgirl. She is really something sometimes!)
