Park Play (Canada - Day 3)

It was a very nice day out finally here in Ontario today so we decided to take advantage of it and go to the Park again across the street. Today the kids were actually able to wear their swim suits and run through the water sprayers. They had such a great time and were jumping in puddles and running around. As you can see in the second video, Makenna has started this new gallop-skip thing that she does. It's hilarious and I have no idea where she learned it. After the water, they decided to walk through the grass and pick flowers. Mark and Madison made the perfect flower children! Makenna of course wouldn't keep a flower in her hair. It was another fun day.

Niagara Falls (Canada - Day 2)

My mom and I took Mark and Makenna to Niagara Falls today. It was the first time I have ever seen it. On the way up to the Falls I told Mark we were going to see the Big Waterfall. He then asked if he could touch it. I said, "Oh, no, you can't touch it. That would be too dangerous." Well, that ended up being a HUGE mistake. We got there and were walking towards it and we started to get wet by the spray of the falls. Mark started to freak out by this and was so scared. We proceeded into the gift shop to get him a sweatshirt and hat so he could be "protected" by the spray of the waterfall. After that he loved it and had a great time. Makenna was all about it too. We went to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch and he was in awe seeing all of the guitars everywhere. Overall it was a great day. My sister came with Madison and my Grandma later this evening. It has been a wonderful trip so far!

The Park (Canada Day 1 continued...)

Here is a picture of Makenna swinging at the Park and a video of Mark on the swing. He was having such a great time and was laughing hysterically.

Canadian Ducks (Canada - Day 1)

Well after a long drive, I finally made it up here to Hamilton, Ontario to visit my parents. We went out for a walk and Mark was very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa H. My mom showed him a pond that is by their house so we had to go over there and bring "toast to feed the ducks." He was throwing it in as far as he could trying to get the ducks attention and finally did. We then walked across the street to a park that is great for little kids. We have had a great time so far!

Go Steelers Go!

Judy showed me this Steelers outfit that I just had to get Mark and it came in the mail today. He absolutely loves it and had to put it on right away. (Don't mind the shoes. He will be all set once we get him his soccer cleats.) He of course wanted his football and wanted to play. He was running around the yard yelling, "Go Steelers Go!" Sorry Matthew and Craig's (Johnson and Yust), but I think we definitely have a Future Steelers Fan on our hands!

My Baby Doll

Here are some pictures of Makenna from today in her dress and matching hat. I could not get over just how precious she looked. I just think she is the most beautiful baby girl ever!

Hopper

Looking at "Hopper" for the first time
Telling and showing me that Hopper is just a "little" guy
Trying to catch Hopper in the net

Our power was out yesterday morning still from the Huge Storm we had Monday night so we went outside to see some of the damage. We were lucky and our basement didn't flood like so many of our neighbors. Donny and Audrey even had a huge tree from their yard ripped out which took their water line along with it and had water pouring into their basement through the newly acquired hole in their house where the water line used to be. It was a rough day for many. What we got out of it was a Frog in our driveway that was happily sitting in a puddle... until Mark and Matthew came along! Mark was just looking at it at first telling me and Matthew his name was "Hopper." Then he started telling me how he was just a little frog. Then Matthew stepped in and tried to get Mark to capture him in his butterfly net and pet him. Mark tried to catch him but wanted no parts of petting him. As you can hear, he said, "No, he's dirty." He did have a fun time showing Hopper how to hop though. We then let hopper go and I think he was probably much happier!
