I see - I see...

I teach a "Fun Fitness" class for kids ages 3-5 at the club so I have been coming across all sorts of new ideas for games to play with Mark. This is a game I played with the kids at the gym that they loved, so I thought I would try it out with Mark and Makenna. Matt saw me doing it with the kids and wanted to join in. You start by saying, "I see, I see" and then they yell, "what do you see?" Then you say a certain animal and they have to act like it. Here is the video of Mark and Makenna acting like the animals Matt called out. Enjoy!

Little Mommy

Here is a video of Makenna taking care of her baby dolls in the doll care center my mom got her for Christmas. She loves it. She moves her babies from the bath tub to the high chair to eat and then to the bed for "nite nite" time. If you listen closely you can hear her making the water sounds when she's giving her baby a bath. It's so funny! Also the milk container is what she is using this particular day for soap. She also uses some of her things from her vanity for soap too, but she always has to have some. When she puts them to bed she says they are "cold" and they need their "blankie" so she lays the blanket on them. She just loves her baby dolls more and more everyday and has become quite the little mommy!

The Grabnabber

Mark created this pile of "stuff" and decided that it was going to be called a "grabnabber." It was quite interesting. I don't know if you can hear at the end of the video, but he says, "I'm going to work, so keep an eye on my grabnabber." It was hilarious. Maybe a future Entrepreneur...or maybe a future master of Sales like his father!

Put it on the Blog

Here is a video Matt took of Makenna the other day when I was at work. It was priceless.

Rock Group

Mark loves to play with his two favorite stuffed animals lately. Both he made at Build a Bear. One is his black bear "Rocky" and the other is his black dog "Starlight." Of course they both have a guitar so that he has his own Rock Band. Yesterday he got into his normal "Mark Mode" where he had to have something fight so it ended up that Rocky and Starlight got into it. Rocky ended up beating on Starlight and it just ended in a big mess. I had to break it up and teach Mark a lesson on Peace instead of War. It was quite an afternoon!

The Fort

climbing back into the "Fort"
Letting Mark go first so she doesn't get sat on

Mark surrounded by all of the numerous items they have piled back there

Mark and Makenna have created a fort behind the glider in her room. They put everything they can possibly get back there. They have managed to get almost all of their stuffed animals, books, hockey sticks, etc... It's all fine and good until Mark decides to sit on Makenna's lap. Then we start to have issues. But for the most part, they have been getting along really well lately. I hope it continues...

My Funny Little Valentine's

Here are some pictures of Mark and Makenna yesterday. I just thought they both looked so cute! And it was amazing that I actually got them both to stand still long enough to actually get their picture!

A Heartfelt Weekend

Spending time with Grandma and Grandpa J

Dinosaur Rides from Grandpa

Grandma making sure everyone stays on the Dinosaur!

We had a nice family weekend this past weekend. Matt's family came over last night for dinner and then his Aunt Cebra and Uncle Mike came over to give the kids some Valentine's gifts. Cebra's friend decorates cookies so Cebra had her put a picture of each one of them on a cookie for them. They were so excited! She also got them each a book and stuffed animal that they have been carrying around all day today. We were so grateful to have everyone here. The kids ended their night riding on Grandpa J's back for some fun Dinosaur rides. Grandma J made sure that Makenna didn't fall off! We all had such a good time!

Hug and Make-Up

Yes, it actually happened....Makenna, my perfect little princess, did something wrong and got in trouble. =) She has started to bring her fiestyness (I don't even know if that's a word!) out more and more. She has been taking things from Mark, even though she shares them a second later, she still took it in the first place and she has also started hitting. After she took Mark's drum stick we made her go in time out and when she came back she said, "Sorry Mark" and gave him a big hug and a kiss. It was so sweet that I had to take a picture.

On another Makenna story....earlier this week I was very sick again and was laying down on the couch with Mark watching a movie. Makenna asked where her pacifier was and when she found it she picked it up, grabbed her blanket, and walked away. I thought she was merely going to find another toy to play with but after a few minutes all I heard was silence. I shouted Makenna, but got no answer so I went to look for her. I looked in the kitchen...no Makenna, so I started down the hall, and there she was... laying on the front door mat at the bottom of the stairs, with her blanket and pacifier....sleeping. I guess she was tired and wanted to go to sleep so she just laid down and went! I couldn't believe my eyes! She hasn't done that since she was about 2 months old on her play mat! It was quite funny, but I picked her up and took her up to her crib, where she started to cry. I guess she preferred the floor! =)

Playing the Drums

Here are some pictures of Mark and Makenna playing Matt's World Tour Drums while he was playing the game. They love to play the drums and guitar while he sings. It's quite a sight! Also, I couldn't help but put these pictures on of Makenna. I just couldn't believe how blue her eyes are!

Just like Daddy

Well as you can see Mark and Makenna have witnessed Matthew working quite a few times. They watch him on his laptop and constantly on his cell phone. Here they are in the hotel room when we were up in Minnesota before Matt's meeting. (On a side note...everytime Makenna pretends to talk on the phone she is talking to either her Grandma or Great-Grandma and Never anyone else. However today I asked her who she was talking to and it was either Rob (Marci's boyfriend), Uncle Ryan, or Uncle Doug. She likes her men!!!)

Waterslide Fun

Here is a video of Matt going down the waterslide with Mark and Makenna. He had to make sure he went down before her so he could catch her. After all that work in trying to coordinate it, the lifeguard said she would catch her. Makenna just loved going down the slides!

Wisconsin Dells - Day 1

This past week we were up in Wisconsin Dells. Matt had a work meeting in Minnesota on Monday and then Tuesday afternoon we headed to Wisconsin. Mark and Makenna were both super excited to go to the waterpark. They had a great time going down the slides and by the end of the week Makenna was going by herself. She loved it! Mark woke up sick yesterday and didn't have the greatest day, but he still begged to go to the waterpark so we did. We all had a great time!
