A Bruiser Day

Makenna had a pretty rough day yesterday. She started walking more and more which turned out to work against her. She walked all the way across Craig and Judy's family room and then fell forward onto the window sill. I guess she only cried for about 30 seconds, but had two lines across her forward on top of the big black and blue goose egg. (The pictures above show it looking MUCH better today.) She then calmed down and was standing up and fell backwards onto her push walker (hitting the back of her head). Finally, she was standing at the front door with her hands against the door when Mark decided he would remove them. She caught herself again with her face on the door. I think she was happy when she got to go to bed and put the day behind her! She has had a much better day today and been a much happier girl!

Another day in the Life of a Rockstar

Here is yet another day Mark spent playing one of his guitars. He amazed everyone at Church again yesterday by standing up by the band and playing his "Air" Guitarand tapping his foot to the beat of the music. After it ended, a guy from the church band, Ken McAloon, let Mark stand up on stage and play his electric guitar. He of course was in Heaven, and of course, I didn't have my camera. Everyone keeps asking when the lessons are coming, but I think we will wait a couple more years at least before any of that.

Makenna 11 Months

Makenna turned 11 Months old today! As you know she started walking a couple weeks ago and is finally starting to do it more and more. She walked across the kitchen to me yesterday. She really only does it when she wants to. These pictures were near impossible to get. She doesn't want to sit down or sit still. She wants to be on the move and getting into everything. Her favorite thing to do right now is crawl towards the stairs. Luckily she passes Matthew's office on the way and he can usually grab her before I do. She is also still a great eater and would eat 24/7 if we would let her. I took her and Mark the Fazoli's the other day and she was screaming at this high pitch scream because I literally could not get the spaghetti onto the fork and into her mouth fast enough. Everyone kept looking at us! Next time I think I'll take it to go! Anyway, she is still our little princess and I swear she gets more beautiful everyday. We are truly enjoying our sweet baby girl.

A Rocking Good Time

Well, I bought these rocking chairs either when I was pregnant with Mark or right after he was born. My dad helped stain them last summer and they just now made it into the house. Mark and Makenna both had a great time rocking on them. Mark even liked to hold Makenna's hand of course. Hopefully they will continue to enjoy them!

Windy Day

Makenna driving Mark in the Boat.

Well, I heard yesterday it was going to be 75 degrees today and was very excited to take the kids outside to play. Little did I know it was going to be Extremely Windy. Matthew decided it was a good time to start taking the summer stuff out of the garage and get organized so we took the Sandboat and put it on the deck for Mark and Makenna to play in. They loved it, but they didn't last long and both wanted back inside out of the wind. Hopefully we can start getting to this summer weather soon!

Pittsburgh Children's Museum

Last Saturday was my sister's scrapbook party so me, Bethany, and my mom were cropping all day, therefore, it was up to the guys to entertain the kids all day. They had an action packed day. They took them to the Children's Museum in the morning and then came home for naps, but as soon as they woke up they took them outside to play, then to dinner, and then to a place called Fun for All that has a mini golf course and rides. They somehow mangaged to ride all the rides for free and I guess Mark and Madison had a great time on all of them. The Children's Museum was a Huge success and even Makenna had a great time. I think they should have a guys day more often!

Pittsburgh Zoo

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a week, we were out of town last weekend and I have had to work everyday this week. We all went to Pittsburgh last weekend for my sister Bethany's 30th Birthday. We were lucky to get there a day early and were able to take the kids to the Zoo on Friday. It was a beautiful day and Mark, Madison, and Makenna had a great time looking at all of the animals. They loved the Elephants, Giraffes, goldfish, and Penguins the most I think. Mark and Madison also liked the Llama and kept calling it "Linda the Llama" from Diego. =)

Playground Days

Here are some pictures of Mark playing at the playground today. He had a blast climbing up the ladders and going down all of the slides. I think he was just happy to be outside. I hope this nice weather is here to stay!

Big Bear Hug

Here is a picture of Mark and Makenna giving their Big Bear a Big Bear Hug. Thanks again to Cebra, Myrna, Mike, and Jeff because the absolutely love it!

Save the Kitty!

Here is a video of Mark talking about how he is going to dive into the Ocean and Save his Kitty Cat from the Sharks. Don't ask me where he got the idea from that he has a cat, but I know the diving into the ocean to save him comes from watching Diego. His imagination has been running wild these days! Enjoy!

Walking Girl!

Makenna started Walking yesterday! She is only taking about 5 steps or so, but she is doing so good! She loves this big bear that Mark got for his birthday last year and so we put it out for her to walk to. As you can also see she likes to cuddle with it. We just can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is also drinking out of a sippy cup and no longer on baby food. What happened to my baby girl?!?!

Monkeyin' Around

Here are some pictures of Mark from yesterday. He loves putting things on his head now. Of course this monkey has been one of his favorites since he was a baby. Onto his appearance- Does he remind you of anyone? I took one look at him after he put that hat on and thought- oh my gosh- Gilligan! Enjoy my little island boy!

Tennis Anyone?

Here is a video of Mark playing "tennis" with the frying pan to Makenna's kitchen. This is his new favorite game to play! Sorry about the shaky camera but he makes me play too.

Makenna's new smile!

Here are a couple videos of Makenna from today. The first one shows this new cheesey smile that she does. The second one shows how she loves clapping. For some reason she always does it when she eats! She is just getting to be such a happy girl more and more everyday!

Rock Band

Here is a video of Mark and Madison playing the guitar and piano. Mark will drag as many people into his rock band as he can. I still think he is tring to create a family band, because he still talks about how Madison, Uncle Ryan, Alex, Aunt Bethany, and Uncle Doug need to play with him everyday!
