I love my purse - part 1

Here are some pictures of Makenna holding her purse. It's actually a bag that her furReal puppy came in, but she puts everything in there and carries it around with her. Her two favorite things to put in it are her cell phone and her camera! I don't know where she got that from! She is just becoming quite the little girl!

Pool Party

Here is a video that we took a couple weeks ago of Mark swimming in the Hot Tub. It makes for a great pool when it's out of order and not hot! Makenna had a great time splashing around the hot tub but most of all she liked the music coming out of the hot tub that she could dance to. They both had a great time!

Running in Circles

Here is a video of Mark and Makenna running around the other night before bed. Mark loves trying to take Makenna's blanket away from her and somehow this night it became a game. She thought it was fun I guess and kept saying "run, run, run." As you can hear later in the video she did tell him that it was, "mine." She also loves to cuddle with it and you can always tell when she is tired because she goes to find it. I guess it's just good this was one of the times they were having fun together and not her laying face first on the ground crying because Mark put her that way.

I Didn't Ask To Be A Princess...

Here is Makenna in her I Didn't Ask To Be a Princess Shirt. This was a few weeks ago, but she has continued her princess ways. Her personality is coming out more everyday especially because she is talking more and more. Her favorite word is definitely No. She loved the rain today and kept saying, "Rain, Rain!" Her other newest facination is airplanes. She loves them and points them out everywhere. We were in Mark's room tonight and she pointed up and said, "Airplane!" I was like what??? But then I looked where she was pointing and realized she was indeed pointing to an airplane on Mark's old quilt. She is amazing.

Uncle Mike's Boat

Mark has been asking for a while when he can go on Uncle Mike's boat. We talked to Cebra and Mike about it and we all decided on today. We made it a family day and Craig, Judy, Myrna, and Marci came out as well. It was a beautiful day outside so we had a cookout and then the boys went out on the boat while us girls went over to Lighthouse Outlet Mall. As much as Mark was looking forward to this, he didn't get a nap before we left, so as soon as they got out onto the water, he fell asleep. I guess he slept the entire 2 hours that they were out there. He did however help Uncle Mike steer the boat when the first got out on the water. Earlier Makenna had seen some ducks and Uncle Mike walked around with her so she could try to find so more. She kept saying, "Duck, Duck, Quack, Quack, Quack." It was so cute. We all had such a great time and really appreciate them taking us out there.

Popcorn Fest

We went to the Popcorn Festival yesterday before and after Mark's soccer game. It definitely made for a long day. We went to the Parade in the morning and then after his game we put the kids down for a nap at home and then as soon as they woke up we headed back. We met Donny, Audrey, Taylor, and Braedon there and walked around for a while. Mark enjoyed watching the bands play and Makenna danced. Matthew and Donny found the beer and Audrey and I kept an eye on the kids. Overall, it was a good time.

Game Time

Here is Mark playing in his very first soccer game ever. He did much better than I thought he would do since he didn't get much sleep last night and woke up with a bad cough. He ran around and did get the ball a few times! Even sometimes fighting to get it. He does need to still learn to dribble towards the goal and not the sideline, but hey, it's a start! We were very proud of him and he had a really good time. He did get tired towards the end, but that was to be expected. Another thing we have to work on with him is not shoulder bumping the other players! I don't know where he learned to play dirty, but it definitely wasn't from me! We'll have to see how the rest of the season goes!!!
