December Beach Bums

Here are some pictures of Mark and Makenna swimming from this past weekend. It was Makenna's first time in a pool and she was pretty unsure at first, but then did okay. She clung to Matthew and I for dear life most of the time, but I think overall enjoyed herself. Mark of course had a blast and spent his time jumping in. He would stand on the edge and say, "One, Two, Three, Ready or not, here I come jumping in the pool." And while he said this he would move his arms around like he was swimming. It was hilarious. He was shaking because he was so cold and didn't want to leave. We are just getting them ready for our trip to Wisonsin Dells next month!

Tractor Tow

Mark needed to call in a tow truck to pull out his Tractor today after he decided to try to ride it through the 6 inches of snow we got. He got a little frustrated when it got stuck. After that he just wanted to go inside. He definitely started to master the pout today also. I asked him earlier in the day if he wanted to go outside with me and he said no. I said fine that I guess I will go out by myself. He then stuck out his lip and proceeded to put his head under a pillow. How dramatic his life has become! I told Matthew he must have learned it from him!

Away in a Manger

Here is a video of Mark singing "Away in a Manger" with my mom from this past weekend. He loved singing it and doing the hand motions along with it. He also loved having my mom hold him while looking at my Nativity so he could point out Baby Jesus, Joseph, and Mary. It amazes me how fast he learns things. I wish I had the memory he has! Sometimes I really do think he took mine when I was pregnant with him!

Lion Heads

Matthew went to Vegas last weekend for his best friend Craig's bachelor party and this is what he brought Mark home- a Lion Head! Mark asolutely loves it! He puts it on and runs at you saying "ROAR!" and then he tells you to run if you don't! He is having a great time with it and he even let Makenna try it on! She didn't seem so sure of it!

Baby's first Christmas

Here are some pictures of Makenna in her "Baby's first Christmas" Santa Hat. I think she would make a great Santa's helper!

HO HO HO!

Here are some pictures that I took of Mark and Makenna that I just love. They are both in their Santa outfits. Mark kept saying, "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!" I think this is definitely going to be a fun year with him!
Makenna started making sounds today that were almost getting towards word sounds. She started with the ma ma da da, but of course not really saying mama or dada. It was very exciting though!

Christmas Time

Mark was helping me decorate the tree to other day with his baby's first christmas ornaments. He actually did a pretty good job! It's amazing to think that this is his third Christmas tree.
Then he found Matthew's hat and put it on. I thought he looked so cute. I think when he wears a hat like that you can tell just how much he looks like my brother and uncle. It's crazy!
