Tickle Monster

Mark and Makenna have been playing really well together again lately. They love to try and tickle each other and wrestle around. I think once they were able to go outside and get some fresh air they were much happier. It's been much better around here lately! :)

Sticky Face

She picked this Lollipop out last year at Albanese
Her sticky nose and face

Matt let Makenna pick out her treat tonight after dinner so she picked out this sucker that she got last year when I took the kids to Albanese Candy shop. I didn't even know we still had it. I thought I had done a good job of avoiding it until today. Oh well...after one huge sticky mess it is done. I think she looked like a clown, but Mark couldn't stop laughing at her sticky nose.

Photogenic

Her Smiley Pout
The Sweet One

Stud
Tonight Mark and Makenna wanted me to take some pictures of them. They were doing different poses and it was so funny. I swear they could be professional models at this point. I know...they've had A LOT of practice with me taking pictures of them! But I thought these ones were pretty cute. :)

M-A-K-E-N-N-A

She traced the crazy lines and words and did the patterns at the bottom.
She traced the numbers, counted the animals, and wrote the numbers!

Matching animals and more tracing

Typing her name

Makenna is just so smart. I just can't get over how much she is learning everyday. I know Mark is a big part of why. She just can't stand that Mark is learning more and doing more too. He has started to read and does math workbooks now at a 1st grade level. She is trying her hardest to keep up. Judy brought over a couple of dry erase books for them the other day and she worked really hard today on hers. She did so well. Then tonight Matt was working with Mark again and she wanted to work on the computer too. She had just had "Office" day at school today where they got to stamp out their name and had a little phone in a little paper briefcase. It was too cute. So Matt worked with her on how to spell her name and she found all of the letters and was so proud that she can now spell her name and type it out. It was too cute. Enjoy my little smarty pants!

Spring has almost Sprung

Makenna loves riding her bike!
Mark standing on the slide
Makenna climbing the rock wall

Mark and Makenna have been counting down the days until Spring. They were thrilled that it was nice out the other day and that they were able to play outside for a little while. They rode bikes and played in the backyard with the neighbors. They will be so happy when they can go out everyday. They crashed so hard that night and slept until 7:30 the next morning! It was a nice change of pace!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY FROM MARK & MAKENNA!

Story Time

Here is a video of Makenna reading Mark's Batman book to me. Mark has been doing really well with reading lately and I think Makenna is getting a little jealous of the attention he's getting so she insisted on reading me a book. So here it is...

Break It Down

Here is a video of Mark dancing from the other night when Matt was playing Rock Band. Mark and Makenna just love to dance and sing. As you can tell by part of the video, Mark had Hawaiian week at school last week and they had a Luau on Friday. It was too funny. He busts out the most random moves! But I loved it! He still loves doing his flips and cartwheels. I swear I could see him on "So You Think You Can Dance" someday!

Cowgirl Makenna

Rockin' Cowgirl
Howdy!

Being Silly

Makenna put on Mark's Cowboy stuff after Church the other day. I think she made a pretty awesome looking cowgirl!

Indoor Soccer

Playing Goalie
Running toward the ball
Getting his medal from Miss Jill
Mark and Adison

Mark finished his indoor soccer season yesterday. He did a little better yesterday. He just has a hard time being agressive and really going hard to the ball. He enjoyed it though, so that is all that matters I guess. He also enjoyed playing goalie. Our coach was gone yesterday, so I was the fill in for the day. Jill was our team mom so she gave out the awards after the game. Next, Mark and Makenna will start swim lessons this coming Friday, and then next month Mark will start outdoor soccer. We should stay pretty busy from here on out!

Here is a short video of Mark making a save as goalie

Princess in waiting

Here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago. Makenna has been my sick little princess these past couple weeks. Last week she had Roseola (she had a 102 deg fever Monday and then got a rash and still has it) and now she has a low grade fever again and a runny nose. She was up all night and therefore, I was up all night too. Mark was sick for the 2 weeks before her. We need Spring so badly around here. I need to open up the windows and let some fresh air in. We are all going a little crazy! Me especially...she gave me 4 gray hairs! Don't worry, I pulled them all out. I'm going to have to start dying my hair soon! Summer...please come soon...

Baby Kinley

Me and Kinley
A couple weekends ago I went down to Indy (Greenwood) to visit my college roommate, Karrie. She had baby Kinley on Jan 5th. She was so adorable. Karrie's husband was out of town for the weekend so I volunteered to come down and stay with her. It was a nice break for me from Mark and Makenna since all they have been doing lately is whine and cry. Kinley was an awesome baby and was so smiley. It was so great to see both of them and spend time catching up!

Hair Stylist

Makenna took these pictures of me

Makenna has been wanting to do my hair lately and I basically let her do whatever she wants. She loves to put clips in my hair. It is so funny when she does it too because she keeps saying the whole time, "one more and you will be beautiful." Enjoy my lovely new hairstyle!
