Guitar Players

Mark spotted a guitar in Neil's room a while back and has been dying to play it. He finally caught Neil one day at home and asked him to play with him. He had the best. Here is a video of them playing together. Mark decided he wanted them to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. As you can hear, Makenna decided to join in. At the end you can also hear her request them to sing "Rock A Bye Baby" next. It was too funny! So they agreed and Makenna decided to join them in singing. Notice how she loves to fall down when she sings that part. They all had a great time!

Going Green

Jumping Beans

Here are a couple videos of Mark and Makenna jumping around this past weekend. Yes, Mark loves to jump off the couch and we really shouldn't let him, but he'll do it anyway. Makenna took his lead and started jumping too. She gained confidence as she went and didn't even want my dad to hold her at the end. I have quite the little dare devils on my hands!

Quality Time

Here are some pictures of Mark and Makenna with my parent's from this past weekend. It was so nice to see them. The kids were glued to their hips while they were here. They really love spending time with their grandparents that's for sure! Everytime we went somewhere in the car Makenna would say, "Grandpa, where are you?" Just so he would turn around and say right here Makenna. And she loved pointing things out to her Grandma. Two of her favorite things were motorcycles and birds. Go figure!

It was a really nice day on Saturday so as soon as we got home from the show the kids wanted to play outside. Makenna wanted to play on the swingset, but of course, Mark wanted to try out his new sword and "Fight!" So my Mom and Dad being the good sports they are said they would fight with him. As you can see he had such a good time and really got into it! He really believes that he is a Knight!

Here are some more pictures I took of us at Medieval Times. Like I said before, both kids had a great time. We all couldn't get over just how much Makenna loved it! When the show started, she saw the flags go up and said to me, "I need my flag!" So I gave it to her and she started waving it around!

Medieval Times

My parents were in town this weekend and we decided to take Mark back to see the Knights and horses at Medieval Times in Illinois. My mom wanted to bring Makenna and we weren't really sure how she would be but she absolutely loved it. She was in awe the whole time and just enjoyed it so much. Her favorite parts were the horses and the Falcon flying around. Of course Mark's favorite part was the Knights fighting. We had such a great time!!!

Mark Riding his New Bike

Here is a video of Mark riding his new bike that he got for Christmas. He loves to ride and is really good at breaking and starting to go again. As you can tell, he needs a little work on taking the corner around our house. He is getting better everyday and we have really enjoyed the nice weather we are getting. The kids love to be outside as do we!

Homemade Love and Warmth

Here are some pictures of Mark and Makenna in the sweaters that my mom's friend Marie made them last year. They are so soft and warm and the kids just loved wearing them. Mark especially commented on the football buttons and thought that they were, "so cool mom." We just thank their Auntie Marie so much!

Makenna's hair is getting so long. If it didn't curl at the end it would be even longer. I just love her long blonde locks!

Time Out!

Here is a video of Makenna putting herself in a Timeout. She had seen me put Mark in a time out and I guess later on decided she needed to go too. You can hear her at the end saying, "time out, time out" as she is trying to go into the house. It was too funny.

Swing Set Fun

It was finally nice enough outside on Friday and I was actually off of work and was able to take the kids out back to play on the swingset. They were pumped. I couldn't believe the leaps and bounds that Makenna has come from last year. She is climbing up the ladder and going down the big slide all by herself. When I told her that she had to wait for me to help her because she was too little she said very sternly, "I no little mommy. I big girl. I big girl mommy." She kept repeating the fact that she was a big girl. I was in shock. I said, okay, you do it then, and she did.

Here is a video of Mark and Makenna singing Ring around the Rosey. Matt taught them how to do it when I was at work one day. They have so much fun with it and of course Makenna has to try to follow what Mark does.

Last weekend we took Mark to Merrillville to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage. It was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Tigger and Pooh, and the Little Einsteins. He had a great time. He was dancing in the isles and was just mezmorized for most of it. The whole theme of it was a music party and since we all know that Mark loves music he just loved it. Here are some picture of us there.

Makenna Swim Lessons

Makenna loves taking swim lessons. She just loves to be in the water. Her favorite part is jumping in and actually floating on her back. She has the best time. She kicks her feet so much and the teacher Miss Mindi loves to use her as her little example and Makenna has no problem with that!

In this video you can hear Mark in the backround telling her to throw the duck and swim after it. She did a pretty good job with it.
